Today we are taking it easy because tomorrow we head back to Florence to begin our bike trip from Florence
to Rome for the
next 7 days. This morning we decided to go by ferry to Portofino which started off a little cool but
the sun shone when we arrived. Once again we enjoyed another gorgeous medieval
village and we bought a small handmade lace and linen centre-piece for our oak
dining table. We don’t have much space in our hand luggage so you will all be
disappointed because we can’t bring back large souvenirs, that’s our excuse
anyway! We walked around the bay to
discover a huge Castle with spectacular views. We are eating snacks on our deck
for lunch and tonight we will dine in a restaurant alfresco on the waterfront. Gary
has discovered rice crackers so when I eat pizza he is quite happy to snack on
rice crackers, salami and all the lovely cheeses so the gluten free diet is not
too bad. He certainly won’t get fat avoiding all the pastries although the
hotel here is giving him extra gluten free pastries so they seem to know about
these allergies. Gary might write some more later but for now I will attach some more photos. We have so many already but I will give you an idea of how beautiful it is here. I am learning how to use the blog better and now discovered the photo captions which makes it easier!
Bye for now
Love Chel and Gary xx
Once again, before my swim, first the blog. What a lovely town, Portefino.(it almost can't get any better.) Well, today the biking starts. I hope you will manage Chel! Talked with Katie yesterday, she is working today. Love to you both xxx mumxxx
