Ancient Villages and Beautiful Countryside

 Perugia
The town is right on the lake

The boys eating and drinking as usual!

Daily picnics with local foods and wines!

Fantastic scenery at every turn!

Yesterday we arrived in Perugia which has an old beautiful medieval village and it is also a university city. So it is old with new! Our hotel is luxurious and when we arrived we had to wheel our bikes through a stunning foyer into an enclosure so they could be locked up. It is called La Rosetta and our room is as large as a small flat.  It is probably 7m square and a bathroom with bath to match. The decor is renaissance and we feel like royalty here. We are going on a guided tour of the village tonight to find out more of the history.  The bike ride today was fantastic. We didn’t have any rain and it was sunny with some clouds and around 19 degrees. The photos will tell the story. Today was about a 40 kilometres and tomorrow the same and we should end up in Assisi. Every town is beautiful with so much historic, at every turn there is another picture.  We eat late every night so this will be a short blog to let you know we are both well. We couldn’t get onto the internet last night so I am sending it the next day. We had another great day riding but it is late again so I will get this one off first. We are in Assisi at the moment which has been a fascinating day as well so I will be one day behind in our blog. But bye for now love Chel and Gary xx  more photos coming!
