Getting Ready for the Trip

It only seems like yesterday when we decided to do this trip having met Gary just after his trip of a lifetime he just completed by bike from Portugal to Holland. Beaming with enthusiasm it wasn't hard for him to convince me to go overseas and experience some of the highlights from that trip. It's been 27years since I've been to Europe so it I am getting very excited and counting the sleeps, now only 15 to go! Gary hasn't seen much of Italy and going back to Florence will bring back memories for me as I celebrated my 21st birthday there. So both of us we have so much to look forward to. This blog will be a great way for us to keep you updated as we go along and a good way to keep in touch but don't expect the literary expertise of a journalist as I don't want to sell my story!  Well I will sign off now and let you know when we are on our way.
